Today I’m publishing one of my favorite weddings of last season due to its simple, informal and authentic atmosphere.
It was early September and Andrien and Parisa, a couple from Belgium, held their lovely rustic wedding in Tuscany, at Borgo Lucignanello Bandini.
I had already met this couple of Belgian guys in April, when we met in the wonderful Pienza for their engagement photo shoot.
They are in love with Italy and its dolce vita, and having already been on vacation in this area, they chose the amazing Borgo Lucignanello to celebrate their wedding.
Lucignanello is an ancient village surrounded by the picturesque hills of the Val d’Orcia. The atmosphere of this place is unique. It seems to live inside a painting of 1300, in a very distant time, marked by slow and natural rhythms.
The celebrations started the night before, when the couple held am amazing ‘Friday Pizza Party’ for their guests, friends and relatives from different parts of the world like Belgium, England and South America.
The wedding day was characterized by the same festive and informal atmosphere and I loved it! After the symbolic ceremony in the classic garden we moved to an old farmhouse next to the village and flanked by a swimming pool from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
Dinner was full of ‘speeches’ dedicated to the bride and groom by their family and closest friends, to celebrate their love with funny anecdotes and sincere wishes for a happy life together.
